The current Dengue fever outbreak in parts of Peshawar has been in regular news since 3rdweek of August, while isolated reports of suspected and confirmed cases of the disease surfaced during July and first death due to Dengue fever was reported in press on 1st August . By the end of August, the number of cases has climbed to 2000 with mortalities being reported every day. The number of deaths due to the disease by late August stands at 10 (ten).
