20th August, 2011 Prime Foundation, Pakistan and International Development & Relief Foundation (IDRF, Canada) have joined hands to help the flood affected populations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Through this project, a Free Vocational Training Center for the flood affected females of Nowshera District has been established that will allow these women to acquire marketable skills and thus play a key role in the economic rehabilitation of their flood-hit families. The crafts made by trained females are now being showcased at an exhibition organized by Women Business Development Centre (WBCD). These items are available for sale from August 20, 2011 till Chand Raat (11am-11pm).

Prime Foundation has been painstakingly working for the relief of flood affected populations through the Department of Community Health Sciences, Peshawar Medical College. Other than the vocational training, Prime Foundation is also providing capacity building training to midwives of Charsadda and Nowshera, and also running mobile clinics in Peshawar, DI Khan, Charsadda and Nowshera. Prime has recently established a nutrition program for children under 5 and pregnant women of Charsadda. More details available at chs.prime.edu.pk
