Providing a unique approach to the development of women from flood affected districts by integrating economic rehabilitation with health literacy.


  • Teaching of vocational skills including beauty care, tailoring and embroidery
  • A health education component, which will provide basic health education to the trainees, thus promoting health literacy
  • A business support group to devise strategies for marketing of the products
  • An display center for displaying the work of the trainees
  • A vocational toolkit provision on successful completion of the course


  • The project will directly benefit 80 women by providing them with the means of income
  • Indirect beneficiaries include 640 family members of these women
  • The vocational training center will be handed over to the trainers who may continue proving this service in the locality and further contribute to the success of this intervention
